We sincerely thank NIKKO for their assistance with the documentation process and for their consistently attentive consultation.

01Challenge

Over 25 years of operation, the plant under Mr. S's care is facing age-related wear and tear. Since it's on a remote island, hundreds of kilometers from Okinawa, it takes days for maintenance teams to arrive. That's why Mr. S started planning a plant upgrade five years ago, to fix these issues and improve truck access.

03WHY NIKKO

Our biggest concern was that if a breakdown occurred during plant operation, it would take days to respond due to our location on a remote island. In 2019, NIKKO opened a local office in Okinawa. Even though we were using plant from another company at the time, NIKKO staff visited us regularly. After learning about their customer support center (Click here for more details), we thought it was an excellent system. Initially, we sought their help with a chimney repair, which led to further discussions about rebuilding the plant. That’s when we decided to choose NIKKO.

04Impact

Mr. S now has a new plant that withstands weather and natural disasters, reduces community impact, provides smooth truck flow, and no longer worries about delayed maintenance.

Due to the island's strong winds, I chose a hot-dip galvanized steel plant structure to resist sea wind corrosion. The main tower is also covered with exterior wall materials to protect electrical equipment. I consulted extensively with Nikko staff to ensure the plant could withstand natural disasters like typhoons or earthquakes, wouldn't disturb the nearby community with noise, provide convenient truck routes, and we also meticulously discussed future adaptability.
