Environmental Policy Nikko has established an environmental policy to ensure environmentally responsible business operations. We have obtained ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems. Certification applies to the Head Office Plant. Basic Policy To contribute to the resolution of global environmental issues, the Nikko Head Office Plant is committed to continuous environmental conservation and improvement. (1) Development and Promotion of Products that Reduce Environmental ImpactWe strive to preserve the global environment through the development and promotion of products designed to reduce environmental impact and products that facilitate the recycling of industrial waste. (2) Promotion of Activities to Reduce Environmental ImpactWe strive to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible by promoting resource and energy conservation, as well as by reducing and recycling waste. (3) Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Pollution PreventionWe comply with environmental laws, regulations, and other requirements to which the Company subscribes, and we strive to prevent environmental pollution to minimize our impact on the environment. (4) Continuous Promotion of Environmental Conservation ActivitiesWe establish specific environmental objectives and targets to improve the environment and reduce our environmental impact. We strive to achieve these goals and regularly review them to ensure the continuous improvement of our environmental management system. (5) Promotion of Environmental AwarenessWe proactively promote awareness-raising activities among all personnel at the plant to enhance environmental conservation awareness and related activities.
